Edison PD Opens Applications For 2026 Civilian Police Academy
Residents ages 18 and older can apply for the free program, limited to the first 25 applicants.
EDISON, NJ — The Edison Police Department is accepting applications for its 2026 Fall Civilian Police Academy, a free five-week program open to Edison residents interested in learning about department operations.
The program will meet every Thursday in October — Oct. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 — from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Edison Public Safety Center, 205 Raritan Center Parkway. It is open exclusively to Edison residents ages 18 and older.
Participants will learn about the role, responsibilities and day-to-day operations of the Edison Police Department while building connections with the community, according to the department.

The academy is limited to the first 25 applicants. The application deadline is Sept. 28.
