Edison Senior Center Gets $3M For Expansion Project
The funding will be used to renovate and expand the Center to meet the health needs of the community, especially seniors.
EDISON, NJ — Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-6) said Wednesday that this office secured $3 million for the Edison senior center.
The funds for the Dr. William Toth Health Center in Edison come from the Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services Subcommittee spending bill for the Fiscal Year 2023.
The House is expected to vote on the underlying legislation in the coming months. The funding will be used to renovate and expand the Center to better meet the health needs of the community, especially seniors.

“I fought for this funding so that seniors in Middlesex County can get the care they deserve and need,” Pallone said in a statement.
“The Center’s expansion will allow it to increase the number of seniors it serves and keep them healthy. I look forward to seeing this project move through the legislative process.”

During his State of the Township address earlier this year, Mayor Sam Joshi announced his intentions to expand the senior center by 2,000 square feet. More: New Splash Park, Community Garden, Turf Field Announced In Edison
Joshi thanked Pallone and said he was grateful for his “partnership with our office and the residents of Edison.”
“This three-million-dollar federal appropriation will help us expand the footprint of our township Health and Senior Center. The added space will greatly benefit our older residents, allowing them to spend time doing recreational activities and receive healthcare all in one place,” Joshi said.
The Toth Memorial Health Center provides public health services and resources in Middlesex County. The expansion will enable Edison to expand its vaccinations, health screenings, and other essential services to older residents.
