Edison Woman Stabbed Husband In Atlantic City Hotel, Police Say

Police say an Edison woman stabbed her husband and then herself while the two were inside the Golden Nugget hotel this Wednesday.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — An Edison woman was arrested after stabbing her husband and then herself while the two were inside the Golden Nugget hotel in Atlantic City on Wednesday of this week, Atlantic City police charge.

Both the husband and the wife survived. Police said Majocyline Tan, 64, stabbed her husband, 72, multiple times and then stabbed herself.

Patrol officers responded to the Golden Nugget hotel at 9:38 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11.

Security had first been called to the room after being called about an argument. Security officers found the man and woman both stabbed, and called police.

Police found the husband and wife had sustained serious injuries from stab wounds. Both were transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, however they are expected to survive.

Tan was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

She is currently under police guard at the medical center.
