EDISON, NJ — Edison's Fall Family Spectacular which was scheduled to take place Saturday has now been canceled.
The township canceled the event as forecasters are predicting stormy weather in New Jersey.
The event which was scheduled from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. was to take place all along Amboy Avenue.

This year's event was to feature live music, food trucks, games, entertainment, beer/wine garden, kids zone, and more.

The National Weather Service has put out a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Middlesex County from Friday night through Saturday.
Here's the forecast for Edison for the next few days:
- Friday night: Rain likely, mainly after 5 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 56. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch possible.
- Saturday: Rain could be heavy at times. High near 63. Breezy, with a northeast wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New precipitation amounts between a half and three-quarters of an inch possible.
- Saturday Night: Rain likely before 2 a.m., then rain likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m., then rain likely after 5 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 58. Breezy, with a northeast wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts between a half and three-quarters of an inch possible.
- Sunday: Showers likely before 8 a.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., then showers likely after 2 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 67. Breezy, with a northeast wind 15 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts between three-quarters and one inch possible.
