EDISON, NJ — Cities and counties across the country continue to bring back many of the traditional Independence Day activities that were either canceled or modified the last two years. July 4 is just around the corner, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

What: Edison Township July 4 Celebration & Fireworks
Where: Papaianni Park
When: July 4, 3 p.m. onwards
Don't miss this year's Edison Township July 4th Fireworks at Papaianni Park. Independence Day celebrations begin at 3 p.m. with lots of music, food, and other vendors. The fireworks display will start at 9:15 p.m.

What: July 4 Fireworks Spectacular
Where: Community Arts Center, 721 Cranbury Road
When: July 4, 6 p.m. onwards
Join the township for an evening full of summer fun to celebrate the 4th of July. There will be food trucks, music, and children's entertainment, followed by fireworks. Rain date is July 5.

What: Milltown 4th of July Parade & Fireworks
Where: Washington Crossing Historic Park,
When: July 4, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Milltown will celebrate July 4 with a fishing derby, 5k race, parade, duck race, patriotic house contest, music and a pizza-eating contest. There will be fireworks display at night. Details here.

What: North Brunswick Youth Sports Festival
Where: Route 1 North by DeVry University
When: July 2, 10 p.m.
On July 2, there will be fireworks in celebration of Independence Day at the North Brunswick Youth Sports Festival.
