EDISON, NJ — It's Girl Scout cookie season and the time has come to stock up on Thin Mints and Samoas.

If you know a Girl Scout, you can very well place an order for yourself and the family. But if there are no girl scouts in your neighborhood, you may be wondering where to buy cookies from.

Nearly all troops have done away from door-to-door sales, opting for booth sales set up at various shopping centers, events and online purchase.

Girl Scouts of the USA has set up a website to help people locate booth sales. All you have to do is enter your zip code in the search bar and it will bring up cookie booth sales nearby. Click here. All sales proceeds go to the local troops and Girl Scout councils.

The purpose of the cookie sales is to help local councils and troops "to power amazing experiences year-round for Girl Scouts" such as service projects and summer camp, according to the Girl Scouts of the USA.

"Behind every box is a girl learning important skills to power her leadership journey and unlock a world of opportunities," said Wendy Lou, Girl Scouts USA’s chief revenue officer. "Financial literacy is not only a critical skill required for entrepreneurship but an essential life skill."

This year the scouts are introducing a new cookie — the Raspberry Rally. The Raspberry Rally is like a sister cookie to the Thin Mints. It is a thin crispy cookie infused with raspberry flavor and dipped in the same chocolaty coating as the Thin Mints.
