Juneteenth Observance In Edison On Saturday With Food, Music & More

Two Juneteenth celebrations are slated to take place on Saturday, June 10. Here are all the details:

EDISON, NJ — There will be two Juneteenth celebrations in Edison this Saturday, June 10.

Middlesex County will be hosting an event at Roosevelt Park in Edison, to celebrate everything the County has to offer. Residents can enjoy local food vendors, live music and performances, games and activities, touch-a-truck, roller skating, arts and crafts, historical interpreters, and more. There will also be learning programs and services.

The Arts Institute of Middlesex County will also be showcasing arts and crafts, like henna art and face painting, with local arts organizations.

The second Juneteenth celebration will be hosted by the Township in partnership with the NAACP Metuchen Edison Area Branch. The Juneteenth Freedom Day Festival will be held from 12 p.m. to 6 pm at Papaiananni Park, 100 Municipal Boulevard.

There will be family friendly activities, a classic car and auto show, live performances, fireworks, food trucks and more.
