'Lingerie Cop' Suing Edison For His Job Back
Anthony Sarni is suing for his job for a second time after he admitted to pressuring a women to try on lingerie for him.

EDISON, NJ — An Edison police officer who gained attention after going to a woman's hotel room in uniform and pressuring her to model lingerie is suing the township, saying he should get his police job back, nj.com reported.
Anthony Sarni, 43, lost his job in 2016 after admitting to asking a woman to try on lingerie for him in a hotel room. He was off-duty at the time, but in full uniform. He then sued the township and was rehired, only to retire a year later.
The lawsuit says township officials harassed him into retiring, and that Sarni was afraid he would be fired if he did not retire.

Township officials deny this charge, but say they have not yet seen the lawsuit.
“The first that Edison Township heard of the alleged lawsuit by this former officer was an online (news) article. While it is difficult to comment on a suit we have not seen, based on the information in the article, the Township can say that it has a binding agreement with Mr. Sarni, in which he voluntarily resigned his position with the Township in consultation with his long time counsel," Edison Township Attorney William Northgrave said in a statement sent to Patch. "Any repudiation of that agreement is frivolous. The Township will enforce the agreement and recover its fees from Mr. Sarni and any other responsible party for any defense of that agreement.”
