Menlo Park Mall Closed Due To Power Outage
Breaking: The mall is affected by the state-wide power outages Friday afternoon.

EDISON, NJ — Menlo Park Mall in Edison is closed due to a power outage Friday afternoon, police said in an alert.
Twitter user Gene Coughlin, who was in the mall at the time, said power went out around 11:30 a.m. Police are asking that people avoid the area in the meantime.
Jersey Strong (formerly Work Out World) announced on Twitter that they are also closed. The gym said no timeline for restoration has been announced yet.

Edison Police told Patch there were no elevator entrapments, and no injuries as a result of the outage. Patch has also reached out to Simon, the mall's parent company, for more information.
Both PSE&G and JCP&L show Edison having no current power outages, but bad weather has knocked out power to large sections of the state, starting early Friday morning.
