Metuchen High School Closes After Spill, While Fire Closes Rt. 27
All local authorities and police were on the scene to deal with the damage.

Metuchen High School was closed after a chemical spill and a transformer fire shut down Route 27 on Friday, police said. The road was reopened by 9 a.m.
Drivers were told to avoid Route 27 between Lake and Grove avenues indefinitely due to the transformer fire, police said.
