Metuchen Named To List Of Prettiest Downtown Strips In NJ
The borough was recognized for its pedestrian-friendly downtown strip, local dining and more.
METUCHEN, NJ — A Middlesex County town was recently named to a list of the prettiest downtown strips in New Jersey.
Downtown Metuchen, just north of New Brunswick, was one of 10 towns named to WorldAtlas' list of the 10 Prettiest Downtown Strips In New Jersey.
According to the list, the borough has a "very pedestrian-friendly downtown strip" with "great local dining and easy train access."

WorldAtlas goes on to describe restaurants and event venues just a short walk away from the train station, as well as the Metuchen Town Plaza, a public square that hosts various public community events.
In an online post, Metuchen Mayor Jonathan M. Busch acknowledged the list, describing it as "another nice recognition for Metuchen."

"Over the past several years, the publication has repeatedly highlighted Metuchen, recognizing our downtown, quality of life, and strong sense of community," Busch said. "In this latest article, it pointed to many of the things we all know and value: our walkable downtown, great local businesses, convenient train access, The Plaza, and all of the amazing community events that bring people together throughout the year."
"Congratulations and thank you to everyone who continues to help make this place so special."
