Metuchen To Show Off New School Construction This Fall

METUCHEN, NJ — The Metuchen School District is inviting residents to a series of open houses this fall to tour new construction projects funded by a voter-approved referendum, with guided tours scheduled ahead of four upcoming Board of Education meetings.

"Thank you for supporting the referendum and enabling us to build a bright future for Metuchen students," the district said in its invitation. "Come check out the beautiful new spaces that you made possible ahead of our Board of Education meetings this fall."

The first open house is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 8, featuring Edgar Middle School's new offices. Guided tours will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m., followed by an 8 p.m. Board of Education meeting in the Edgar gym.

On Tuesday, Sept. 22, residents can visit Campbell Elementary School's new cafeteria during guided tours from 6 to 7:30 p.m., with the board meeting to follow at 8 p.m. in the Campbell cafeteria.

Moss Elementary School's new addition will be open for tours on Tuesday, Oct. 13, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., ahead of an 8 p.m. board meeting in the Moss cafeteria.

The final open house is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 27, when residents can tour the Metuchen High School Fieldhouse and other new spaces from 6 to 7:30 p.m., followed by an 8 p.m. board meeting in the MHS auditorium.

Residents who are unable to attend in person can view a video tour that will be posted online at metuchenschools.org.
