Metuchen's Downtown Summer Sounds Series Returns With Weekly Concerts
The July 22 event headlines Metuchen's weekly Downtown Summer Sounds series.
METUCHEN, NJ - Downtown Metuchen's summer concert series is back, with free live music on the Plaza every Wednesday through the last week of August, according to organizers.
The weekly "Music Wednesdays" events run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Metuchen Town Plaza, located at the corner of New and Pearl streets. Rain dates are scheduled for Thursdays, organizers said. The series is presented by RWJBarnabas Health, and accessibility accommodations are available for those who need them.
The lineup includes MPack Music on July 8, Plan B Acoustic on July 15, Mike Monterey Band on July 29, Pam Urgiles on August 5, Kolor Blind Band on August 12, Kim Boyko on August 19 and Katja Music on August 26, according to the schedule.

A special Mayor's Concert Series event, "Battle of the Decades: 80s vs. 90s," will take place July 22 from 7 to 9 p.m., featuring performances by Twisted Charm and Saved by the 90s, and hosted by James "Murr" Murray of "Impractical Jokers," organizers said. That event is free to attend, though an RSVP is required.
