MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ — Middlesex College students pursuing early education degrees can now transfer seamlessly to Kean University under a new partnership agreement.

The agreement covers three programs — Elementary Education K-6 with Teaching for Students with Disability (TSD) endorsement, Early Childhood Education P-3 with TSD endorsement, and Elementary Education with Bilingual Education Certification K-6. Students meeting a minimum 3.0 GPA will transfer without credit loss or delays.

“Middlesex College is thrilled for this partnership with Kean University, making it smoother than ever for our education students to achieve their goals,” said Middlesex College President Mark McCormick. “Providing accessibility and support to our students is essential to our mission, and we look forward to this agreement benefiting so many of our students in their journey to become educators.”

Kean University President Lamont O. Repollet said the partnership creates "a seamless, equitable pathway for students to transition from associate to baccalaureate degrees without the traditional barriers of cost or credit loss."

The agreement addresses New Jersey's ongoing teacher shortage by removing obstacles for future educators. Faculty and staff from both institutions collaborated to align curriculum standards and ensure students are prepared for Kean's academic expectations.
