New Portuguese Barbecue Restaurant Opens In Metuchen

METUCHEN, NJ — A new restaurant serving original Portuguese barbecue has opened in Metuchen. Fire & Flavor Grill celebrated its opening on Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The new restaurant is located at 640 Middlesex Avenue, in the former Weichert building. Metuchen Mayor Jonathan M Busch and members of the Metuchen Area Chamber of Commerce were present at the ribbon cutting.
"The menu looks absolutely delicious and the owner, Wilson DeSilva, and his family have created a great space that I can’t wait to revisit with my family," Busch said in a Facebook post, welcoming the new business to town.

The menu at this family-owned restaurant includes Portuguese-style BBQ like Febras de Porco or grilled pork cutlets, Portuguese sirloin steak, grilled picanha, grilled chicken, a mixed plate of Portuguese sausages, and other delicacies.
Patrons can place their orders online as well.
