Parvo puppies

My boyfriend, 9 year old son and I just adopted our first Puppy! Rusty. Hes currently 11 weeks old. He and his 6 other brothers and sisters were dump at an animal shelter in north carolina after hours. A non profit rescue center shipped the puppies up here and began to foster them out. Our Rusty was placed in a lovely foster home in Edison. Thats where we first met our baby. After filling out a quick adoption application and ofcourse paying the $300 adoption fees, we were able to take Rusty home. 5 days into having our puppy he became very ill. Diarrhea, vomiting and not eating or drinking. The women who runs the rescue also works the front desk at an animal hospital. So as soon as he became ill we contacted her. Of course that day her animal hospital was closed so she told me to hold off, that it's probably a stomach bug and to bring him in the next day. Even though we only had Rusty a few days now, I know my puppy and it's no stomach bug. She told me she does not have the funds to help me pay for my vet bills if i choose to take him somewhere other than to her. She told me since i haven't had my dog for a full week yet, I could return him and she can euthanize him. Rusty is just a little puppy. And it's not fair to him to just be put to sleep without even trying to save him. So ofcourse I did not take the lady's advice and I took him to Banfield animal hospital where they tested him and he came out positive for parvo. They recommend another hospital to take our dog for treatment and he is currently there now. At the minimum the cost for treatment is $2,200. Our Rusty is worth every penny. His sister Winrey is also going through the exact same thing we are. It's not fair to all parties involved to have to go through this with our puppies who should have had a clean bill of health Prior to adopting them out. I dont know the laws about adopting and if the rescue has to help pay or not but i want to share my story for some help maybe financially and or for some advice. The family who fostered our puppy set up a go fund me page for the pups and I just want to spread the word.
