Registration For Before And After School Program Begins In Edison
Residents with children in Kindergarten through 8th grade can apply to the programs.
EDISON, NJ — The Township’s before and after school program began registration on Monday. The After Before School Child Care (A.B.C) Program and the Young Adolescent Program (Y.A.P.) are offered by the Edison Recreation Department in a collaboration with the Edison Board of Education.
Registration to the programs is open for the 2022-23 school years.
The A.B.C. Program is held throughout the school year in all public elementary schools for children in grades K-5 from 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Y.A.P. is held in all public middle schools for children in grades 6-8 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Children in middle school can only join the afternoon session. The Edison Board of Education will be offering full-day Kindergarten beginning in September. Children in Kindergarten can now enroll in the morning and/or afternoon sessions.
Space in the program is limited and is based on first come first served. If the program is full, those enrolled will be placed on a waiting list until there is an opening.

A $35.00 non-refundable registration fee per child will apply. Here's the cost for the program:
- Morning Session - $160.00 per month
- Afternoon Session - $220.00 per month
- Both Sessions - $350.00 per month
Fees for additional children from the same household will be half of the monthly fee.
