Spirit Halloween Around Edison, Metuchen: Here's Where Stores Have Opened

EDISON, NJ — Spooky season is around the corner with Halloween being seven weeks away. Fans will be excited to know that a Spirit Halloween has opened in former retail stores.

The seasonal pop-up shop, which sells plastic vampire fangs, wigs, fake blood, costumes, and a variety of frightening interior and outdoor decorations, has opened at locations near Edison and Metuchen.

Here's where:

• Woodbridge: Former Bed Bath Beyond, 675 US Hwy 1 S
• East Brunswick: Former Loehmanns, 233 State Route 18
• North Brunswick: Former TJ Maxx, 536 Milltown Rd.
• Old Bridge: Former Staples, 1043 U.S. 9

Because the Halloween store is a franchise with thousands of independently run locations across the country, there is no official company-wide "opening day." Each fall, the seasonal store brand secures short-term leases at vacant spaces, leasing from mid-July to early November. The company is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.

In addition to classic costumes, the stores will offer new licensed merchandise from Barbie, Fall Guys, Harry Potter, Universal Monsters, DC Villains, Poppy Playtime, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Wednesday and Mars Attacks.

Halloween is on Tuesday, Oct. 31.
