Unknown Person Near Middle School In Metuchen Sparks Lockdown: PD
The lockdown was lifted after police determined there was no threat. The school has resumed its regular schedule.
METUCHEN, NJ — Edgar Middle School in Metuchen was placed on lockdown Wednesday after an unknown person was found walking near the school, police said.
The person was wearing camouflage and was spotted by school authorities walking in the wooded area by Edgar Middle School, police said.
The school was put into lockdown as the police department flooded the area.

“We were able to make contact with the individual and determine that there was no threat,” the police department said.
The lockdown was lifted, and school resumed its regular schedule.
