What Do Locals Think About Hatch 44 In Metuchen?
The new brunch spot opened in Metuchen five weeks ago-- so what do locals think?

METUCHEN, NJ — The brunch spot Hatch 44 opened in Metuchen five weeks ago, and already has plenty of locals talking. Located on the corner of Durham and Central Ave (where Lola's used to be), the restaurant is on the Edison and Metuchen border.
So what do diners think? So far, the restaurant has 21 Yelp reviews and four stars, with multiple reviewers saying it reminds them of New York City. Here are some reviews:
- West Village vibes in central Jersey. Love the Banana Foster pancakes! Great service!
- This is a really cute and cozy breakfast/brunch option in this neighborhood. An unexpected farmhouse chic in the jersey suburbs. The service was really slow and they need to hire more servers but otherwise food was very good! Coffee was also excellent.
- Nice little cute eatery for breakfast and lunch. Small menu but enough to satisfy your taste buds.
- Nice place for breakfast in Metuchen. Had the farmers' breakfast... Scrambled eggs, sausage, whole wheat toast, potatoes, coffee...all good. Small newly established local place with rustic homey feel. It's now on my list for Saturday breakfast in the Metuchen area.
- Hatch 44 has that NYC vibe. It's like having brunch in the city without having to go through the commute. Love it! Check out their Lox Benedict!
Hatch 44 serves breakfast and lunch fare, including specialty coffee drinks. Princes range from $6 for oatmeal to $15 for steak and eggs. Visit their website here.
