Winter Restaurant Week Is Coming to Metuchen

METUCHEN, NJ — Get ready to make your reservations. Metuchen will be hosting Winter Restaurant Week in Downtown, from Monday, Feb. 21 to Sunday, Feb. 27.

Around 17 businesses are already participating, and prix fixe menus have been provided with dine-in, take-out, delivery options.

Participating restaurants include Cafe Paris, Civille Cucina Italiana, Fusha Asian Bistro and Sushi, Lola Latin Bistro, Kabab Factory, Brewed Awakening, and more.

“Winter Restaurant Week gives us an opportunity to highlight the many new restaurants in downtown Metuchen and several longtime favorites,” Metuchen Downtown Alliance Executive Director Isaac Kremer said. “Since 2016 there has been a net increase of 19 restaurants making Metuchen a food and dining destination for New Jersey.”

Participating for the first time this year is Ghost Hawk Brewing from Clifton, New Jersey. Their new Shred the Creek – Hoppy American Pale Ale is made from Azacca and Idaho 7 hops and brewed in neighboring Edison. This and other Ghost Hawk brews will be featured at Hailey’s Harp & Pub, 400 Main St., on Thursday during Restaurant Week.

“We love the idea of participating in Winter Restaurant Week to highlight the great food establishments in the area and introduce our products to beer lovers in Metuchen and throughout New Jersey,” Ghost Hawk co-founder Tom Rachelski said.

There's also an added incentive for restaurant-goers — the “Winter Restaurant Week Card.” This card will have spots for eight stickers. Whenever people purchase at participating locations during Restaurant Week, they will have a chance to win a gift card.

The completed cards can be dropped off at Newmarket, 19 New St., or What’s the Scoop, 457 Main St.
