2 Men Robbed Victim Outside Bergen County Business: Prosecutor

SADDLE BROOK, NJ — Two Bronx men were arrested last week in an armed robbery in Saddle Brook, prosecutors said.

Ronny Moquette Rosario, 27, and Jacob Rodriguez, 26, were both charged with first-degree armed robbery and other offenses.

Prosecutors said that on June 22, around 6:51 a.m., the Saddle Brook Police Department responded to the armed robbery at a business on Lanza Avenue.

That morning, the victim had arrived and parked near the business, prosecutors said.

As he was getting out of his car, a man in a black hood, face mask, and handgun got out of a four-door car with tinted windows and approached the victim.

The armed man stole money, valuables, and personal items ,prosecutors said. Then, he got back in the car and fled north.

Detectives identified the car as a 2018 Acura TLX with bogus plates.

They tracked the car to Rodriguez, they said, and identified Rosario as the man who'd committed the robbery.

Last Tuesday, Rosario and Rodriguez were charged with first-degree armed robbery, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and fourth-degree aggravated assault by pointing a firearm.

The men were captured Wednesday with the help of the New York office of the FBI, and New York police, and Saddle Brook police.

The men are being held by New York police and will be extradited to Bergen County, prosecutors said.
