3 Women, 1 Juvenile Arrested In Bergen Shoplifting Spree: Police

Three women and a teenage girl were arrested over the weekend on shoplifting charges, according to Rochelle Park police.

ROCHELLE PARK, NJ —Three women and a teenage girl were arrested over the weekend on shoplifting charges, according to Rochelle Park police.

Police said they believe the suspects used motorized shopping carts and brought "booster bags" to take $250 in merchandise from Shop Rite and $500 from local shopping malls.

An investigation began when management from Shop Rite called police to report several female shoplifters had taken things from the store and then left in a black BMW sedan. Loss prevention workers stopped one of the suspects, 22-year-old Jada McIntosh of Paterson, according to police.

Rochelle Park police and Maywood Police found the BMW on a cul-de-sac in Maywood and found "numerous articles of clothing, make up, hair care products, and jewelry, all believed to be stolen property." The BMW also had fake temporary tags, according to police.

Officers arrested Breasia Coleman, 20, of Paterson, Alicia Coleman, 30, of Hackensack and a 17-year-old girl in connection with the thefts.

The three adults were charged with receiving stolen property, shoplifting, and employing a juvenile in the commission of a crime. A guardian took the juvenile home; charges may follow.
