Surging Lady Cutters Crush Lyndhurst in Breast Cancer Basketball Challenge [PHOTOS]
Fair Lawn High School hosted the fifth annual Breast Cancer Basketball Challenge on Saturday to raise breast cancer awareness among female high school athletes across North Jersey.
Alexandria Kerr's breakout season continued Saturday as the sophomore dropped a game-high 25 points -- her third straight game with at least 20 points -- and grabbed 11 boards in a 63-44 blowout of Lyndhurst in the 5th Annual Breast Cancer Basketball Challenge, held at Fair Lawn High School.
Senior sharpshooter Jen Calabrese added 15 points on five threes for the Lady Cutters who jumped to an early 14-point lead and were able to cruise the rest of the way. Fair Lawn has run off five straight wins since a Dec. 20 loss to Wayne Valley and now sit at 6-2 on the year.
Sophomore Tia Solomon finished with seven points and juniors Sam Colca and Stephanie Johnson each added six apiece for Fair Lawn. The Lady Cutters next host Clifton on Tuesday night.
