Need a Valentine's Day gift idea? How about a romantic place to eat?
Lucky thing you live in or near Fair Lawn. Your floral, candy, jewelry and dining needs can all be taken care of within the borough's 5.2 square miles.
Young Paek, owner of Cliff Garden Florist, says “roses are good this year,” and if you stop in for a purchase, he upgrades beyond the price that you pay. “We do many different sorts of roses," he says. And, he gets them from a prime spot: Ecuador. “Ecuador has very high, elevated farms, so that’s why their farms are most suitable for long staying roses," Paek says. "They are pretty and stay longer. This time, we’ve purchased Ecuador premium roses.” An arrangement of a dozen is $70, and anything custom made is an extra charge.

“I always suggest a nice half dozen or three is enough to say I love you,” says Paek. “Also impressiveare roses mixed withother flowers. There are lots of good matches with the roses.”

Both of these locations have the special gift for your sweetheart on this Valentine’s Day. Visit Cards & Kreations for chocolates, special coffee mugs and other basic gifts, while at Daphne’s—a Hallmark Gold Crown Store—a variety of Valentine’s Day cards, candy and plush dolls can be had.
“Forty-two years,” says Joyce Caratozollo when asked how long Bernraps Plaza Jewelers has been in business. “Since 1969.”
And if jewelry is the way you’re leaning, Bernraps is the place to visit, especially since everything in the store is 50 percent off through Valentine’s Day.
“There’s not one thing that is really the most popular,” says Caratozollo. “It’s a little bit of everything: gold, silver and diamonds.”
What can be more romantic than dining out French style?
“Celebrate a day of love” at Crème dela Crepes with a special four-course prix fixe dinner served Friday through Monday. The fee is $59.95 per couple, and includes the appearance of famous singer and guitarist Vasily on Valentine’s Day at 7 p.m. Vasily will sing International romantic favorites, and will be accompanied by pianist Vladimir Silantiev. There is an extra $10 cover charge on Valentine’s Day.

It’s a weekend-long celebration of love at Trackside, so come and “lovingly” grab your table.
“We’ll have sweetheart specials, special surprises, and a regular menu as well,” says the manager, Joanne. There will also be live entertainment on Saturday evening
"We’re looking forward to seeing some great people who always come into our restaurant, dining with us and celebrating," she says.
Award-winning chef Christine Nunn and Picnic, the Restaurant will host two superb Valentine’s Day seatings. The first for early comers will be at 5:30 p.m., and the second is at 8 p.m.
The prixfixe menu, which is $50 at the first seating and $65 at the second, includes your choice of entrees, including rosemary half roasted chicken withbaguette stuffing, prime New York strip steak, wild mushroom risotto, and classic surf and turf with lobster tail and filet mignon in sauce béarnaise. A variety of desserts will also be available.
