A bus driver was steering the Rainbow Transport bus south on Burbank Street when she saw the teen girl get out of a car parked on the street, the driver told police.

The girl began walking south in the roadway, so the driver honked the horn, according to police.

Then, the driver heard a bang.

"[The] pedestrian had Airpods in and turned to cross the street, causing her to get struck by the bus mirror," police said.

The teen was taken to Valley Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

There were 10 other people on the bus besides the driver, but no one else was injured, police said.
