Fair Lawn Police Blotter: Summer Drug Arrests Released

Fair Lawn police arrested seven people on drug charges in late July and August.

FAIR LAWN, NJ — Police in Fair Lawn arrested several North Jersey residents on drug charges in August and late July, they said.

The following were the narcotics arrests in August:

Justin R. Reis, 44, of Wharton was arrested at the Fair Lawn CVS on Aug. 20, at 1:43 p.m. Officer Peter Federico found that he had a glass crack pipe and unpaid merchandise, and gave a false name. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, shoplifting, and giving false information to officers, police said.

Vlad Agapescu, 34, of Nanuet was arrested on Aug. 11 after Detectives DiGuglielmo and Hearon stopped his car. Agapescu was found to be in possession of a heroin envelope and two empty heroin envelopes. His passenger, Sara
Qumbargi, 32, of West Nyack, was arrested after she was found with nine heroin envelopes and empty heroin envelopes, police said. They were both charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug
paraphernalia. They were released.

On Aug. 4, Detective Matthew Hearon stopped a car at Maple Avenue and River Road around 7:26 p.m. He arrested the driver, Alexander M. Group, 39, of Warwick, N.Y., after he was found to have 170 heroin envelopes, two Baggies of crack cocaine, two crack pipes, and two hypodermic needles. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

July Arrests

On July 30, Officer Patrick Jablonowski stopped a car at Maple Avenue and Hemlock Avenue just before 1 a.m. The driver, Terrance Reginald Pee, 55, of Paterson, gave a false name to police, they said. He also had six crack cocaine rocks and one empty heroin envelope, police said. He was released after being charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and hindering law enforcement.

Also on that date, around 1:27 p.m., Officers Uriarte and Pinnola stopped a car on Midland Avenue near Saddle Brook and arrested the driver, Darren Paul Domenici, 42, of Sloatsburg, N.Y., and the passenger, Shannon Lynn Halloran, 38, of Tuxedo Park, N.Y., after they were found with three heroin envelopes and three glass crack pipes. They were both released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
