Officer Struck In Hit-And-Run: NJ Police Union

SADDLE BROOK, NJ — A Saddle Brook police officer was struck in a hit-and-run Sunday morning, according to police union and media reports.

The officer was outside his patrol car conducting a traffic stop when a passing vehicle hit him and fled the scene, the New Jersey State Police Benevolent Association said in a post on X, adding he was in stable condition at an area hospital.

RLS Media reported that the incident occurred around 4:40 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 80 near Exit 62, citing preliminary information.
