Veteran's Day History and Quiz

How much do you know about Veteran's Day? Here's a chance to quiz yourself.

From Cornell Christianson's book "Holiday Skits & Contests" available on Amazon.

Veterans Day is an American Federal holiday observed on November 11th, the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I on November 11, 1918. Originally called Armistice Day, it was meant to honor World War I veterans.

In 1954, realizing that peace was equally preserved by veterans of World War II and the Korean War, Congress decided to honor those who have served America in all wars and President Eisenhower signed a bill proclaiming November 11 as Veterans Day.
