Burglary Arrest, Shoplifting At ShopRite: Fair Lawn PD Blotter

Fair Lawn police responded to a number of incidents over the past week, including reports of shoplifting and burglary.

FAIR LAWN, NJ – Fair Lawn police responded to a number of incidents over the past week, including reports of shoplifting and burglary.

Oct. 2 - Burglary Arrest

On Oct. 1 at 7:58am, Fair Lawn Police responded to a residence on Lake Street on a report of a burglary that had occurred. Coins, valued at approximately $2000, had been taken. Blood & fingerprint evidence had been left at the scene, which was collected by the Bergen County Sheriff Department׳s Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

On Oct. 2, at 6:21pm, Det. Anthony Lugo & Det. Brian Rypkema initiated a motor vehicle stop on First Avenue in Paterson after observing a possible suspect from the burglary the day before. Alexander Tallman, age 22 of Prospect Park, was arrested after he admitted during questioning to the burglary. He was released after being charged with burglary & theft of movable property.

Oct. 2 - Narcotics Arrest

At 10:08 pm P.O. Geovanny Buitron initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at Tunbridge Road and arrested the operator, Hannibul Palmer, age 26 of Wappingers Falls, NY, after marijuana was discovered inside the vehicle. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia & throwing debris from a motor vehicle.

Oct. 3 - Shoplifting Arrest

At 9:34 p.m., P.O. Justin DiGuglielmo responded to Shoprite, 17-17 River Road, and arrested Lena Foxworth, age 75 of Paterson, after she was detained by store loss prevention with unpaid items, valued at $45.44, hidden in a shopping cart. She was released after being charged with shoplifting.

Oct. 3 - Narcotics Arrest

At 8:52 pm P.O. Geovanny Buitron initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at Tunbridge Road and arrested the operator, Eric Arthur, age 54 of Teaneck, after evidence of drug use was discovered inside the vehicle. He was released after being charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Oct. 6 - Attempted Burglary

At 2:50 am P.O. Anthony Ferreira, P.O. Michael Van Ness, P.O. Michael Franco, P.O. Marc Roskowsky, P.O. Robert Iozzia & Sgt. Kenneth Cavanagh responded to the area of Sperber Road after a resident witnessed a male attempting to enter parked vehicles. Michael Faulch Jr, age 51 of Elmwood Park, was located on Malcolm Terrace at Norwood Road and was arrested after being positively identified. He was charged with attempted burglary, then sent to Bergen County Jail.
