In a tweet, Fair Lawn High School shot their shot with famous alumna Regina Spektor, recruiting her for their 2020 graduation video.

FAIR LAWN, NJ — Somewhere between a quiet word and a battle cry, Fair Lawn High School has taken to social media to request the services of one of their most notable alumni, Regina Spektor.
Spektor, a critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter who grew up in New York City, finished her final two years of high school in Fair Lawn after attending The Frisch School in Paramus.

She was a member of the Boptones, a Fair Lawn High School band formed by Howard Friedman in 1985.

Spektor is an admittedly infrequent Internet user, but has been on Twitter recently, speaking out against the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

Her latest album, 'Remember Us To Life', was released in 2016. Of the record, Pitchfork said, "Regina Spektor’s latest album takes the unabashed earnestness that has always marked her music and rewrites it in a somber, minor key."
