Cancer Companions Support Group

Cancer Companions, a mission of Fair Lawn’s Van Riper Ellis Broadway Baptist Church, is hosting Cancer Support meetings. Cancer Companions is a nationally based support group developed by Karen Tripp, MS, LMFT (www.cancer-companions.org).

This local chapter of Cancer Companions is a non-denominational faith-based support group designed to allow trained /certified church volunteers to help those with cancer, and their caregivers. They will help them realize that their fears and thoughts are indeed shared by others. The goal of this group is to infuse hope and foster faith in those needing to share with other patients and caregivers about how they are coping with cancer in their daily lives.

Cancer Companions brings HOPE to the journey with Christian cancer support groups and/or one-to-one meetings in a non-medical environment that is warm and comforting. There is never a charge to attend a group or individual meeting with a volunteer. All are encouraged to join us.

Cancer Companions will meet at 7:00 PM every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month. The next community meeting will be held on October 17th at 7:00 pm. The meeting will be held in our Christian Education building on our campus. The GPS address is 7-20 Bellair Avenue, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410. Light Refreshments will be served.
