Don't Miss Out on Free Comic Book Day

Both certified comic geeks and those totally unfamiliar with the genre are invited to celebrate this Saturday at , the River Road comic book store.

The Joker's Child will give away thousands of comic books Saturday, with hopes of introducing as many people as possible to their wonders.

"We are thrilled to celebrate our 11th Annual Free Comic Book Day," owner Len Katz said. "Over the years, Free Comic Book Day has been our way to show appreciation to our loyal customers, welcome new customers, and encourage reading.”

Katz said his independently-owned and operated shop offers a wide selection and unique experience for customers.

“Unlike the large chain stores that dominate most types of retailing, The Joker’s Child is independently owned and operated," he said. "As a result, as time goes on, we feel our store becomes more unique, the only one of it’s kind. We at The Joker’s Child want to spread the word that comics are alive and well in 2012."
