BergenPAC Bringing Early Childhood Music Program to Fair Lawn

The Bergen Performing Arts Center, which is bringing its Music Speaks program to Fair Lawn in May, will offer a free trial class on April 24 at Life Movement Spirit and Dance Center on Saddle River Road.

An interactive early childhood music class for infants, toddlers and preschool-age children is coming to Fair Lawn.

The Northern New Jersey non-profit performing arts center bergenPAC will begin offering its Music Speaks class at the Life Movement Spirit and Dance Center on Saddle River Road next month.

Music Speaks, a music and movement program that caters to children from ages 2 months to 4 1/2 years, aims to allow children and their parents to discover music through a mixture of traditional and contemporary songs from around the world.

The 45-minute classes introduce children to chants, finger plays and movements using a variety of age appropriate musical instruments. 

The eight-week spring session begins May 1 and all enrolled youngsters receive a Music Speaks CD. The first 10 families to register will also receive a welcome gift valued at approximately $100.

If you're interested in attending a Music Speaks trial before enrolling, a free class will be offered on Wednesday, April 24 at 9:45 a.m. at Life Movement.
