Columbus Day Parade of North Jersey

The Columbus Day Parade of North Jersey is pleased to announce its 50th anniversary. The parade will take place on September 30, 2012, in Hackensack, Bergen’s county seat. The parade will step off promptly at noon on Main Street.

We hope this year the parade will again attract thousands of people throughout New Jersey as we salute Christopher Columbus and give thanks to our community members. As in past years, the parade will feature marching bands, both high school and professional, from across New Jersey as they carry their various styles of music through the streets of Hackensack. Student organizations and recreational teams will lineup along with police and fire departments. The parade represents the diversity that Bergen County has to offer.

The parade is followed by a quaint festival on The Green where vendors sell an assortment of foods and products. Vendors range from local restaurants to high school organizations.
