The Suicide Awareness program is run by the Fair Lawn High School Child Study Team and is presented by the high school's drama classes under the tutelage of teacher and Masques advisor Mike Perrotta. The goal of the program is to help students to recognize the signs of depression in themselves and in others and to teach them how to respond and whom to contact in the case of potentially dire situations. Through this program, Fair Lawn High School’s drama classes present a series of vignettes that deal with a variety of recognizable scenarios that are all too often the cause of suicide attempts by teenagers.
