Fair Lawn 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony Set For Friday

FAIR LAWN, NJ — Fair Lawn residents will gather Friday to remember the lives lost in the September 11 terrorist attacks.
The borough’s 9/11 remembrance ceremony will begin at 5 p.m. at Borough Hall, 8-01 Fair Lawn Avenue.
The annual observance comes 25 years after hijacked planes struck the World Trade Center and Pentagon and crashed in Pennsylvania, killing nearly 3,000 people.

Fair Lawn’s current event listing does not identify scheduled speakers, participating organizations or the ceremony’s expected length. It also does not say whether the observance will be moved indoors if the weather turns unfavorable.
The ceremony is one of several municipal events included on the borough’s September calendar, which also notes that overnight parking and enforcement of the town’s 8-to-10 a.m. parking restrictions will be suspended Friday.
