Fair Lawn Appoints 1st School District Security Director
Robert Licamara has more than 20 years of experience in law enforcement.
FAIR LAWN, NJ — The first security director in the public school district's history began working Monday.
Robert Licamara is responsible for overseeing and managing the school district's security staff, school security and emergency management operations. He reports directly to Superintendent Nick Norcia. His annual salary is $85,000.
Licamara has more than 20 years experience in law enforcement. He was deputy director of public safety for Manhattan Community College in New York City from 2016 to this year. From 1994 to 2015, he worked for the South Hackensack Police Department where he was patrol officer, detective sergeant, and deputy chief.

He helped create a security plan for the South Hackensack School District. He also led district's anti-drug initiative as its D.A.R.E. and L.E.A.D. officer.
Licamara has also worked with the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Task Force and its Money Laundering Unit.

He is a 1994 graduate of the Passaic County Police Academy. He lives in Wayne.
