Fair Lawn Cancels Memorial Day Parade Due To Coronavirus

The Memorial Day parade was scheduled for Monday, May 21 but has been postponed due to coronavirus.

After considerable thought and in the best interest of everyone's health and safety, the Borough of Fair Lawn regretfully announces that this year's Memorial Day parade scheduled for Monday, May 25, has been cancelled. The Borough is looking into holding a parade event in the Fall. No details are available at this time.

Though the parade is postponed, the holiday itself should continue to be used as a day to reflect and remember the sacrifices of the 47 Fair Lawn residents and the over 1,300,000 American citizens who have paid the Ultimate Sacrifice for our freedom.

The Borough will still be moving forward with displaying the military and veteran banners as announced in the beginning of the year. The 150 banners will be installed along Fair Lawn Ave, River Road and other major roadways beginning in May. The banners will be displayed until September. We thank you for your patience and understanding.
