Fair Lawn Government's Summer Hours Start This Week
The Fair Lawn municipal building will be closed on Fridays through August 30.

The Fair Lawn government will be closed on Fridays starting this week and lasting through August.
For the four days each week municipal offices are open, employees will start a half-hour earlier and close an hour later. The offices will be open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays.
Borough officials first instituted summer hours last year in an effort to save money.

The use of summer hours eliminates the need to pay overtime and comp time for employees who regularly work evenings, officials previously said.
The Fair Lawn Police Department will remain open on Fridays.

The Senior Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday and noon to 3 p.m. Sunday.
The Community Center will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
Memorial Pool opens June 27. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, weather permitting.
The DPW complex on Saddle River Road will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on weekdays, 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Saturdays and noon to 3:45 p.m. on Sundays.
The library will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesday and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. It will be closed on Sundays until Labor Day.
