Fair Lawn Man Burglarized Borough Home: Police

Police arrested a borough man after they found the stolen items at a local pawn shop, authorities said.

FAIR LAWN, NJ — Police charged a borough man with burglary after items stolen from a home were found a local pawn shop.

Police responded to the Brookside Avenue home Nov. 25 on a report that electronics, tools and cash were stolen, Sgt. Brian Metzler said.

Detective Sgt. Tim O'Shaughnessy took over the investigation and arrested John Cornett Jr., 45, after the items were found at the pawn shop, Metzler said.

Cornett Jr. was charged with theft Dec. 5 and released, Metzler said.
