Fair Lawn Man In Critical Condition After Car Crash: Prosecutor

Breaking: The victim was taken to the hospital after he was hit by a car in Paterson, authorities said.

FAIR LAWN, NJ — A borough man was taken to the hospital in critical condition after he was hit by a car in Paterson Friday night, authorities said.

The victim was hit near 48 Rahway Ave. in Paterson at about 9:36 p.m., said Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes.

A 29-year-old Wayne man was driving a Mercedes Benz C300 when he hit the 48-year-old victim, Valdes said.

The victim was seriously injured and taken to a local hospital in critical condition, the prosecutor said. The driver was not injured and remained at the scene.

Authorities are investigating what happened. More information will be released once available, Valdes said.
