Cutters' Bats Silenced in County Softball Tournament Quarterfinals
Fair Lawn lost 5-0 to Immaculate Conception Saturday in the quarterfinals of the Bergen County Softball Tournament.
Fair Lawn's county softball tournament run came to an end in the quarterfinals Saturday at the hands of Immaculate Conception.
The Cutters managed only three hits and failed to scratch out a run against freshman pitcher Sarah Piening, whose Blue Wolves won 5-0 to advance to the tournament's Final Four.
Fair Lawn trailed only 1-0 through four innings, but Immaculate Conception rallied for two runs in both the fifth and sixth innings to put the game out of reach.
