Fair Lawn Woman Shoplifted From Glen Rock Store 3 Times: Police

She is charged with three counts of shoplifting after stealing over $400 worth of liquor on three separate occasions, Glen Rock Police said.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — A Fair Lawn woman is charged with three counts of shoplifting after stealing hundreds of dollars of liquor from a Glen Rock Bottle King over the course of a month, Glen Rock Police announced.

Police responded to the Prospect Street Bottle King on March 2 after a reported shoplifting in progress. The woman, 35, had fled the store, but an officer eventually tracked her down on Saddle River Road in Fair Lawn, police said.

The suspect was found in possession of two stolen bottles of Johnnie Walker, police said, valued at $128 total.

An investigation determined that this is the same woman who had previously shoplifted from the store on Feb. 6 and Feb. 8. She took a total of $350 worth of alcohol in those instances, police said.

The Fair Lawn resident was transported to Glen Rock Police headquarters where she was charged with three counts of shoplifting. She was then released pending a court appearance scheduled for March 19, police said.
