Fire Rips Through Fair Lawn IHOP, Firefighters Injured
BREAKING: The fire occurred at about 12:30 a.m., officials said.

FAIR LAWN, NJ — Two firefighters were injured battling a fire that ripped through the IHOP restaurant on Broadway early Wednesday morning, police said.
Officer Javier Gutierrez was patrolling Broadway at 12:39 a.m. when he saw heavy smoke coming from the restaurant at 37-13 Broadway, said Sgt. Brian Metzler.
The Fair Lawn, Glen Rock and other fire departments responded to the two-alarm blaze and brought it under control at 1:30 a.m.; the building was deemed unsafe to occupy, Metzler said.

Two Fair Lawn firefighters received minor injuries battling the blaze. They were treated at the scene by the Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
