The arrests include a drug arrest, a driving while intoxicated charge, and a shoplifting charge.

Narcotics: P.O. Justin DiGuglielmo approached a suspicious person on a bicycle on Manor Avenue at River Road and arrested a Demetri Walker, 29, of Bronx, NY, after an arrest warrant out of Bergen County was located. Heroin was discovered on his person during a search incident to arrest. He was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance & possession of drug paraphernalia, then handed over to the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department.

Driving While Intoxicated: P.O. Anthony Ferreira, along with Officers, Pindyck, Cruz, Hearon, Boskovski, Roskowsky & Sgt. Wood, responded to Broadway at 30th Street on a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, they found the vehicle overturned on its side and the operator entrapped. Once removed by the Fair Lawn Rescue Squad and medically checked by the Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance, a 59-year-old Ridgewood man was arrested after refusing to perform a roadside sobriety test. He was released to a responsible adult after being charged with failure to maintain a single lane, reckless driving & driving while intoxicated.

Shoplifting: P.O. Chris Sullivan and assisting officers responded to CVS Pharmacy, 29-00Broadway, on a report of a shoplifting in progress and arrested a 61-year-old Hackensack man after he attempted to leave the business with $367.15 in unpaid items in a shopping cart. He was released after being charged with shoplifting.
