Krazy Coconut Takes Part in New Jersey Restaurant Week
Free dessert and coffee offered with entrees through Saturday
Krazy Coconut, which serves lunch and dinner seven days a week, is the lone Fair Lawn restaurant participating in New Jersey Restaurant Week, which began on Sept. 19 and runs until Saturday. Sponsored by the New Jersey Restaurant Association, the purpose of the event is to showcase home grown foods and boost the New Jersey restaurant industry economically and visually.
The 34-seat Krazy Coconut, which offers live music on most weekends, is offering diners free dessert and coffee this week with its entrees.
Lemard Clarke is the owner of the restaurant, which specializes in mostly Jamaican cuisine like curry chicken, coconut chicken, and more. This is the first time his restaurant is participating in the weeklong event.

"We wanted to get the word about our product," Clarke said. "Many people assume Caribbean food is spicy, so people are not willing to try it. I wanted to give people something different to try. We may be the only restaurant in the area serving Caribbean cuisine, so we want people to try something different."
Krazy Coconut is located at 22-08 Morlot Avenue, and can be reached at 201- 794-6887. For more information about New Jersey Restaurant Week, visit http://www.dineoutnj.com, or call (800) 848-6368.
