Fair Lawn Police Find Loaded Gun After Call Car Occupants Were Asleep
Fair Lawn Police got a report that a vehicle was stopped in the roadway, and the people inside appeared to be asleep.
FAIR LAWN, NJ — Fair Lawn police charged three people with various offenses last week after finding them in a car stopped on the road, records say.
Police got a report that a vehicle was stopped in the roadway, and the people inside appeared to be asleep. Five officers went to the intersection of Broadway and Fair Lawn Parkway on March 6 at 3:32 a.m. to investigate, a news release said.
One of the passengers in the car had a loaded handgun in his lap, according to police.

The driver of the vehicle and two passengers were arrested, police said.
The passenger who had the gun was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, according to police. He also had a warrant out of Glen Rock.

The driver was charged with obstruction, driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit to a breath sample.
Another passenger was charged with obstruction.
