New Agreement Could Mean Faster Snow Removal In Saddle Brook
The contract allows Saddle Brook quicker use of snow removal and tree equipment.

SADDLE BROOK, NJ — The borough has entered into several new shared services contracts with the county that could mean snow gets removed quicker from local roads.
The contract allows Saddle Brook to make direct requests from the county for several kinds of equipment, including: Snow removal, tree maintenance and public safety, including light tower stations and barricades.
Previously, the Saddle Brook Borough Council had to pass a resolution asking to borrow equipment from the county, which would then need to approve the request.

This new shared services contract streamlines the process by allowing the borough to go directly to the county and get the equipment on the ground faster.
The only alternatives for the borough were either to purchase the equipment themselves or rent it from private vendors at greater expense to the taxpayers.
