NFL Legend Dan Marino Opens New Bergen County Restaurant
Marino is part owner of Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza, which opened its second location in the county last week.
Bergen County has another Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza location, and to celebrate its opening part owner and retired NFL great Dan Marino stopped by the restaurant last week.
Anthony’s opened its second Bergen location in the Fair Lawn Promenade on Route 208 last week. To celebrate, Marino – who owns part of the chain restaurant with founder/CEO Anthony Bruno and several other partners – stopped by last Wednesday to chat with fans and taste some of the restaurant’s signature recipes.
Anthony’s, which started in Florida and expanded up the east coast, now has four locations in New Jersey. It opened restaurants in Edison, Clifton, and Ramsey in 2011.

Marino, who started out as a customer of Anthony’s in Florida, often stops by openings of new restaurant locations. When he helped open the Ramsey location, Marino told Patch, “the food is what sets this place apart. It really speaks for itself. Good food, and good people.”
Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza is known for its high-energy environment, coal oven cooked pizza dough, and wings. Get more information about the new Fair Lawn location here.
